Malaga, March 14, 2017

The weather today can best be describes as crappy. Pouring rain and cool temperatures. Thank goodness for the radiators in the apartment as they dried out shoes and socks quite efficiently.

We decided to go for a walk in the morning and stumbled upon a “Grenier”. Grenier is a chain of excellent cafes and pastries. They would be somewhat similar to a Starbucks but much, much better.

We then went to the El Corte Ingress an upscale department store; similar to the old Eaton’s on College Street. Here we picked up a couple of things for Lindsay and Kim. On the way back we stopped into the Market and picked up a loaf of bread, ham, gouda, pepperoni type sausage and a tomato and had it for lunch back at the apartment.

We did visit one church that we had been by previously but was not open . . .  today it was and we were rewarded with some interesting interior shots & we got out of the rain.

After lunch Jill and I ventured out and bought a really good computer bag that not only better protects it but also helps me manage it better with suitcase and backpack. The four of us went out to dinner which for all of us was somewhat lacking. There is only one way to fix that and so we went hunting for gelato. We were successful and this made for a better evening.

We are now on our way to Seville. I have caught the blog up on the bus.

We are now beginning our last week with Scott and Cathy, with approximately 3/4 of our time and cafe con leches have now gone by. 🙂

‘till the next blog . . . .

Kerry says we ‘stumbled ‘ upon the Granier but that is not quite true. We knew where it was, we knew what they had – and so the 4 of us charged the door and our senses were overwhelmed with the smell of pastries and coffee! At least that is how I remembered it………..
