Moscow Metropolitan

Moscow Metropolitan, which opened May 15, 1935 is the main public transport of theuntitled-2 capital connecting the central part of the city with the outskirts. At present the Moscow Metro carries 57%of the whole number of passengers. About 7.1 million people travel by Metro every day and this figure increases up to 9 million on week days. It’s the world’s highest figure. The metro consists of 12 lines with a total length of 285.2 km., untitled-1its 188 stations serve almost 10,000 trains. The rolling stock of 4.5 thousand cars forms over 500 trains. Average Moscow Metro train is 41.57 km/h. At the same time regular train operation with the minimal headway of 90 seconds is provided.
