Aix-en-Provence

September 7, 2014

Another great day in Southern France! We started the morning off with another wine tasting at Chateau Henri Bonnaud Winery . . . untitledthe best tasting yet! All three wines were excellent! We purchased a red, that we will keep for a year or two. Got a business card and I will write to the LCBO and recommend they import from this winery.

We then returned to the hotel and relaxed at the pool for a couple of hours, having a very expensive lunch (in error) 70 Euros for essentially a cold buffet . . . that is over $100, yikes for lunch. Feeling kinda ripped off for that one.untitled-3

We went on an interesting walking tour with Joe and most of the group. We saw numerous historical sites throughout what is called “New Town”. Mauntitled-4ny of the buildings were built in the 1800s. We did see a magnificent cathedral and listened to the organ player and flutist. The sounds in this church were really great. Had a beer with the group in More Aix Pics

We had a really good Pizza on the Promenade, an excellent bottle of wine and simply people watched for a couple of hours. The service was great with the waiter being very friendly.
