Juneau, Alaska

Our day in Juneau featured a good deal of rain.

a-j-glazierOf particular interest was our to tour to the Mendenhall Glazier, as we visited this back in ’96. Got some really good pics and we will compare to pics when we were here previously. We both agreed that the Glazier had receded quite dramatically. We spent the balance of the day shopping and attempting to send an earlier blog out from a Starbucks.a-j-cable-car

Our tour also included a tram ride up Mount Roberts with some great viewing opportunities on the way up and down.

We had a very good meal in the Italian Restaurant on board but did find the menu a little confusing. There were “big” plates and “small” plates. Small plates (2) per person were for sharing and were essentially appetizers and large plates were for entres. After the initial confusion, we quite enjoyed the dinners.
